Service Description

Sunday 28th July, 2pm - 3pm Join Aberdeen City Council’s Countryside Ranger, Emma for this hands on workshop focussing on back garden conservation. Learn how to create welcoming habitats for wildlife right in your own back garden by using recycled and natural materials to build insect hotels, insect watering stations and natural bird feeders. This event is perfect for those looking to enhance their garden’s biodiversity and support local wildlife and conservation efforts. Please feel free to bring your own recyclables like tins, milk cartons, bottle lids – But don’t worry if you don’t have anything, there will be plenty provided! As a guide, we suggest this class is suitable for kids ages 8 and above since we'll be using scissors and there may be some sharp edges on recycled materials. You're welcome to make your own judgement on your child's abilities since adult supervision is required throughout this class! Cancellation policy applies to this booking: Please let us know in plenty of time if you are no longer able to attend this class. No refunds or exchanges will be given with less than 48 hours notice of cancellation. Please note that there is a minimum booking threshold for this class of 6 participants. If the threshold is not met, the class will not go ahead. Second Home will notify you the day of the class (at the very latest) if it will not go ahead.
